United Way Grant Funds Barnabas Nutrition Services Programs

United Way of Northeast Florida has granted Barnabas Center funds that will help Barnabas feed Nassau County residents in need in zip codes 32097 and 32046.

“Every day in our county, families, individuals, and the elderly do not have enough to eat,” said Jamie Reynolds, Barnabas President and CEO. “The need for nutrition services has continued to increase as we navigate post-pandemic and economic inflation issues. We are thankful for being selected to receive this United Way grant.”

United Way’s $9 million investment will be distributed over a period of two years, supporting 37 community-based programs that address critical challenges, including food access, housing stability, education attainment and workforce development.
