On June 11, Barnabas celebrated St. Barnabas Day.
In 1986, Barnabas Center was created by local churches in Fernandina Beach to serve as a one-stop center for people needing crisis assistance.
Barnabas was named in honor of the patron Saint Barnabas, who was known as the “Son of Encouragement.”
To celebrate St. Barnabas Day, Barnabas visited several churches in Nassau County to thank them for their years of service to the community.
Barnabas thanks the following churches for their support and service:
- Amelia Plantation Chapel
- Amelia Baptist Church
