Barnabas New to You Resale Stores celebrate Earth Day in a unique fashion – with one-of-a-kind window art by Robert Peck, Team Lead – Key Holder at Barnabas New to You Resale. Robert, a talented artist in his spare time, brings his creativity to Barnabas where his window paintings remind customers of the incredible impact reusing and repurposing household items makes on a global scale. Shopping locally at non-profit resale stores, like Barnabas New to You, helps customers do their part in minimizing the environmental effects of production and waste while supporting Barnabas programs; it is a great way to keep our community healthy and thriving.

Donating your new or gently used clothes and goods to New to You helps decrease the amount of clothing that would otherwise end up in landfills that accrue over 11 million tons of clothing each year. Donations are carefully sorted by our staff and volunteers to ensure every piece is either placed on the sales floor to provide much needed clothing and household items for families in need or is repurposed for other use. T-shirts and overly worn items can be cut into pieces and sold as “Bags of Rags.” Other items are donated to local schools to assist with technology training, sewing and home economics courses. By donating and shopping the New to You Resale stores, you help your neighbor who needs support, and you free space in your home in an environmentally conscious way.
