We begin 2022 reflecting on the tremendous support Barnabas Center received from Baptist Medical Center Nassau and Baptist Health System, which in total, monetary and in-kind, was more than $3.8 million both organizations.
“Barnabas could not provide the much-needed care to our Nassau County neighbors without our strong community partnership with Baptist,” said Jamie Reynolds, Barnabas CEO and President. “The comprehensive support of our programs, plus the personal involvement of many Baptist employees, has been a blessing.”
Ed Hubel, hospital president of Baptist Medical Center Nassau, serves on the Barnabas board of directors and leads the annual commitment to support Barnabas. From a grant for medical personnel to Legacy sponsorship for the Empty Bowls event to numerous food drives and even a recent pumpkin decorating fundraising contest powered by an employee can drive, Baptist is an integral part of nearly every program and service Barnabas provides in Nassau County.
“To say we are deeply thankful to Baptist in an understatement,” Reynolds said. “Every single person from both Baptist Medical Center Nassau and Baptist Health System who lends a hand—and their heart—to us is a vital part of our ability to help our neighbors in need. We couldn’t do what we do without them!”
It is easy to see the overlap between Barnabas Center and Baptist Health.
