Barnabas Center will release its annual report during its Annual Meeting on January 26, 2023. Barnabas will highlight the significant impact made in 2021-2022 to people in need in Nassau County.
Among the highlights of the past fiscal year, Barnabas:
- Provided Empowerment Programs to 158 households to avoid homelessness with rent, mortgage and utility payments totaling $108,989.
- Provided 614,368 pounds of healthy food to more than 27,201 people in need. More than 7,000 were children. Our food pantry and mobile distributions served 7,908 households.
- Provided *3,652 uninsured men and women with critical medical and dental care, mental health and vision services. Also, $3.4 million in healthcare services were donated by the Baptist Health system, doctors, specialists and other healthcare providers.
- Provided Meal Packs to 207 homeless children every Friday of the school year.
- 457 active volunteers and donated 14,443 hours of service to Barnabas’ critical programs valued at $491,144.
- 100 households in need received furnishings, clothing and other household items through our resale stores.
- 1,238 donors from 31 states supported our critical work.
- Charity Navigator 4-Star rating for 16 consecutive years.
- Barnabas holds the Guidestar / Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency
