We believe everyone deserves the chance to lead a healthy and productive life. At Barnabas Center, we serve as a hope delivery system. We offer nutrition services, empowerment programs and health care that provide practical support. We also pair those services with the encouragement and caring people need to overcome challenges and achieve stability.
We combat hunger throughout Nassau County, helping food-insecure individuals and families fill the gaps through our food pantry and food distribution events. Read More

Bid Online: EMPTY BOWLS 2025 Marketplace
As part of the Empty Bowls event, the online auction is now open. You can bid on beautifully crafted bowls and art pieces that showcase the talent of local artists, community members, and a local celebrity. Each bowl represents a commitment to fighting food insecurity in our community, with all proceeds directly supporting our neighbors in need. Bid often, the auction ends on December 1.

Upcoming Events
This holiday season, Chacato and Barnabas Center are joining forces to bring joy to local children through the Adopt-A-Family Program. Now through Saturday, December 6, you can help make Christmas brighter for families in need right here in Nassau County by donating new, unwrapped toys.
Each gift—big or small—brings smiles, hope, and holiday cheer to children who might otherwise go without.
Donations can be dropped off at Chacato, 5381 S. Fletcher Avenue, Fernandina Beach, until 5 p.m. on December 6. Free Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on the schedule at the store. Check their social media for more details.

Take care of your eyes and join us for a free community vision screening at Barnabas Center.
👓 Free vision screenings will be offered, along with free reading glasses for those who need them. This event is open to the public—no appointment necessary.

Take part in the evening’s pilot community food distribution at Barnabas Center Pantry. It is offered on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.

Everyone needs help sometimes. Whether you’re facing a dental emergency, struggling to put food on the table this month or need assistance with obtaining a new driver’s license, we are here with open hearts and helping hands.
We’re fighting community hunger with nutrition services that include access to our food pantry, meal packs for children and mobile food distributions.
