The date for the Barnabas Center 10th annual Empty Bowls luncheon has been set for Monday, November 27, 2023, at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. The Barnabas Center is fortunate to partner with businesses in our community to sponsor the Empty Bowls luncheon. WestRock is an early, committed sponsor for this year’s event with a generous donation of $5,000. Concerned by the increased food costs for Barnabas clients, WestRock also donated an additional $3,000 to help meet the needs of the Nutrition Services program.
This donation will assist in providing food-insecure families with healthy, low sodium, and low sugar food options. The funds will also support the Barnabas Meal Pack Program, which provides healthy meals each weekend for children experiencing homelessness.
Barnabas is grateful for support from companies like WestRock, whose Empty Bowls sponsorship will ultimately help improve the lives of families in Nassau County who are working hard to make ends meet.
