Vacation Bible School Supports Barnabas

Vacation Bible School check ceremony photo
Vacation Bible School makes a big impact: Tania Yount, Chief Development Officer at Barnabas Center; Carrie Yoder, Pastor of Discipleship and Family Ministries; and The Rev. Drew Weseman, Associate Pastor at Memorial United Methodist Church

We’re giving our heartfelt thanks to Memorial United Methodist Church’s Vacation Bible School programs. Their donation to our Health Services program will change lives.

The students raised nearly $2,000 toward the purchase an alpha spirometer, a tool used to measure lung air capacity.

This gift helps people in Nassau County who do not have health insurance get quality care. Thank you MUMC for your ongoing support!

Getting Involved

Time to paint!

The VBS students had a paint party!

Students painted bowls in support of Barnabas’ upcoming annual Empty Bowls Luncheon. Attendees at Empty Bowls will choose from hundreds of hand-painted bowls to take home.

An Empty Bowl is a symbol of hunger. To support our neighbors coping with food insecurity, Barnabas will raise awareness and funds at its annual Empty Bowls fundraising luncheon.

If you want to host an Empty Bowls paint party for your VBS, talk us! We’d love to help.
