Emergency Food Distribution at West Nassau County Town Halls

Fernandina Beach, FL, September 10, 2024—Barnabas Center is pleased to announce a new initiative to support food-insecure residents of West Nassau County. In response to community needs, pre-packed emergency food bags have been delivered to the Callahan and Hilliard Town Halls and the Westside Journal in Callahan. Residents who are hungry and in need of assistance are encouraged to swing by and pick up a bag of nutritious groceries.

This effort is part of Barnabas Center’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that no one in Nassau County goes hungry. “We understand that emergencies can happen at any time, and we want to make sure that our neighbors have access to nutritious food when they need it most,” said Jamie Reynolds, President/CEO of Barnabas Center. “By placing these emergency food bags in locations where we can reach people in need, we can increase access to good nutrition.”

The food bags are available for pickup during regular Town Hall hours, ensuring that assistance is just a quick stop away. Barnabas Center’s partnership with local government officials is crucial to the success of this initiative, and we are grateful for their support in helping to distribute these vital resources.
