Barnabas Holds Community Open House to Celebrate the Opening of the West Nassau Service Center

Barnabas Center held a community open house at First United Methodist Church, Callahan in honor of opening its service center to help people in need in west Nassau County. The open house included a potluck luncheon and a tour of the new office.

Attendees of the open house included members of Barnabas West Nassau Advisory Council, Barnabas board and staff, Barnabas volunteers, community and business partnership leaders, and members of the First United Methodist Church of Callahan.

The service center officially reopened on February 3rd to serve residents in west Nassau County. The new office is located at the First United Methodist Church, Callahan (449644 US Highway 301, Callahan). Barnabas extends its thanks to First Methodist Church for its part in supporting this project on their campus.

Nassau County residents may apply for assistance in Callahan by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call (904) 261-7000 for any of the following assistance:

  • Medical Services
  • Assistance with Food Stamp applications
  • Emergency financial assistance for rent or utilities
  • Enrollment for medical and dental services
