Barnabas Health Services has partnered with Jacksonville Fresh to help provide access to healthy produce for our patients that live with chronic health conditions. 

Jacksonville Fresh is a non-profit organization with the goal of providing Northeast Florida & St. Mary’s, Georgia with the most convenient, economical and environmentally friendly access to the most healthy and fresh local goods. We enroll our patients in a program that was developed and named Rx for Healthy Living which allows patients to receive fresh produce and other food products that are low in sugar and sodium. This is especially important for patients that have high blood pressure and high blood sugars.

Jacksonville Fresh was founded in January 2019 by Glenn Bourquin. Glenn is a graduate from University of North Florida with a Masters in Business Administration. He has a passion for healthy living and nutrition. His wife, Jessie, is a Registered Nurse at Baptist Medical Center and helps with social media, order processing and customer service. They live in Fernandina Beach, Florida with their two children and their dog, Belle.The couple puts together fresh farm boxes filled with a variety of locally grown peak-season produce, a head of hydroponic lettuce or salad mix, and a dozen farm fresh eggs. Truly delicious!
