Research demonstrates that societies with a high culture of volunteerism tend to be healthier communities. Barnabas Center prides itself on being a catalyst for healthier living.
To demonstrate our gratitude, Barnabas Center 2025 Hometown Heroes Fashion Show focuses on volunteerism. It serves as an evening of gratitude honoring Hometown Heroes who volunteer daily in our community. These heroes volunteer their time tirelessly to give us the healthy, happy and productive community we all enjoy. They serve in charitable organizations helping in our schools, healthcare facilities, social services divisions, and emergency service divisions.
Barnabas Center Hometown Heroes Fashion Show is an acknowledgment of local volunteers’ commitment to Nassau County. It is a means to celebrate the dedication of the volunteers who make our county a better place to live. These volunteers provide service in Nassau County’s multitude of charitable organizations that function to make our lives healthier and our community better.
The 2025 Hometown Heroes personify the hundreds of faceless volunteers who actively make Nassau County a better, happier and healthier place for its citizens to live.
