One in three American adults has high blood pressure, putting them at risk for heart attack, heart failure, stroke and many other health problems.
The American Heart Association and the American Medical Association (AMA) teamed up together to implement a new nationwide initiative, Target: BP, which helps healthcare providers improve blood pressure control in their patients.

Barnabas Center is grateful to have received the Target: BP award by creating awareness, education and management of high blood pressure in our patients. Our goal is to improve the health and well-being of our uninsured neighbors in Nassau County. With the consistent community support Barnabas receives, we have the ability to do just that.
