Being unemployed and living in poverty is a major struggle facing many people in Nassau County. Funded by the Women’s Giving Alliance, Hope Builders for Women is a program for women in Nassau County actively seeking change for their future to transition out of poverty. One of Barnabas’ recent Hope Builders for Women graduates was experiencing that struggle before she joined the program. |

Actively seeking a new career, she discovered her passion for the healthcare field. As she reached the end of the six-month program, she secured a job as a Home Health Aide. Her new job offers tuition reimbursement and other benefits that will allow her to take courses to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. This determined graduate is on her way to a new career, and she could not be more excited. |
