Rotary Clubs Join Forces for 2025 Canned Food Drive to Benefit Barnabas Center’s Nutrition Service Programs
Fernandina Beach, FL — The Rotary Clubs of Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island, and Greater Nassau are once again joining forces to host a county-wide canned food drive in support of Barnabas Center’s Nutrition Services programs. The drive will run throughout September at supermarket locations across Nassau County.
The need for food assistance has grown significantly. Since July, Barnabas Center has seen a 35% increase in families visiting the pantry—including 1,033 children. In response, the Barnabas Center has launched two additional evening food distributions each month. In just the first three distributions, 68 families received food.
“These numbers show how urgent the need is,” said Jamie Reynolds, Barnabas Center President & CEO. “The donations collected through this drive will directly help us provide food to children and families who are struggling to make ends meet. I would also like to thank Mike Granaucci and Roger Nordlinger of Amelia Island Sunrise Rotary for going the extra mile in their dedication to our food pantry and the community.”

Donations of non-perishable food items—such as canned vegetables, fruits, proteins, and grains—are encouraged. Monetary contributions will also be accepted to help sustain Barnabas Center’s programs, which provide food, healthcare, and assistance to local families.
