Last year our Medical Program served lower income, uninsured adults through 2,309 medical visits, restoring & maintaining health for 929 patients. Our Dental Program, with 2,362 dental visits, helped restore & maintain oral health for 715 men and women.

Our volunteers contribute more than $421,700 in services

More than 180 volunteers provided services that saved us over $421,700 last year, enabling us to operate more efficiently.

Barnabas Health Services leverages $2.3 million in resources

The value of in-kind services for health care provided by Barnabas last year totaled $2,300,000. This includes the value of testing, labs, x-rays, and mammograms (provided by Baptist Nassau & Baptist Health Systems, Inc.) and the volunteer services of physicians, specialists, nurses and support personnel.

Many in Nassau County experience hunger

The largest growing population experiencing hunger or food insecurity is working families. These families work hard but live on an income that can’t stretch from paycheck to paycheck. They often cannot afford fresh and healthier food for their families.

Barnabas feeds over 120 people a day

Our Food Pantry helps feed over 120 people a day in Nassau County. Last year we experienced a 50% increase in food provided to Nassau County residents.

We use the multiplier effect

A donation of $1 to Barnabas enables our Food Pantry to purchase $7-10 worth of food. This is due to the efficiencies of large scale food banks that supply us with reclaimed and surplus food as well as wholesale purchasing power.

Donations to our resale store are turned into funds that support the critical services provided by Barnabas to Nassau County residents in crisis.
